Meat and Veg

 |  May 1, 2018

Every meal needs a fair share of meat and veg. So if you span it out over a day, who cares if one meal is just meat and another is all greens!

Good View Village

The Good View is one of the most popular riverside venues, along the same strip as the famous Riverside, often leaving people arguing over which is best. Perhaps in a bid to avoid the competition entirely, Good View have opened up another branch on the ring road, taking a more resort-style approach to a village sized restaurant. This all day restaurant has a range of dining options for all times of day and for all types of occasions. Chef Tun is in charge of the kitchen, showing off his two decades of culinary experience by presenting an exciting menu that is coming soon, once the village is officially opened. For now, there is a small sample menu on offer, with dishes such as grilled tuna in coriander sauce, corn shell salad and pineapple fried rice, served in the evenings for those who just can’t wait.

Open 4pm – Midnight (Soon to be all-day)

Ginger Farm Kitchen

One of our favourite destinations in the new Nimman One complex is this farm to table all day diner which guarantees freshness, as most of its produce comes straight out of its Ginger Farm. There is a healthy juice bar serving fun and funky smoothies of all combinations. The menu is also super creative with interesting local and regional dishes not normally found outside of a market such as spicy jackfruit soup, Tai Yai style pork meatballs, and green mango with sticky sauce. There are also delicious and healthy international favourites ranging from salads to sandwiches. Fans of Ginger, The House and Ginger Farm will already know that you are guaranteed quality when you visit any of their destinations, whether it in the impeccable taste of the design to the delicious quality of food and drinks. The prices, while not street prices, is pretty reasonable and if you are looking for a lunch or dinner spot, or just need to pop in to have a refreshing drink or snack throughout the day, then this is it.

Steak Pom Charcoal Grill Chef

Located just past the Mengrai Bridge near Holiday Inn Chiang Mai, the self-proclaimed Chef Pom has expanded his steak house from Ratchaburi and branched out into Chiang Mai to offer up some mouth-watering steak dishes. With an apparent growing trend for steaks and everything that goes with them, this restaurant is bound to join the city contenders due to the good quality and modest prices. As the name suggests, all meats are cooked on a charcoal grill, giving a flame grilled taste and scorch marks that not only enhance the flavour of beef but also help keep the meat juicy. We recommend the baby back ribs steak, which is the highlight of the restaurant and is served with a signature sauce and side dish of salad. Steak prices start at just 59 baht for the classic Thai version and increase with the thickness and cut of the meat.

Open 11am – 10pm (closed on Mondays)
