The health food trend is here to stay, as more and more people are aware of what they put into their bodies. RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort Chiang Mai’s Mira Restaurant has therefore updated its menu to satisfy the healthy and tasty needs of its customers. Check out these five fabulously beautiful, delicious and healthy salads, whipped up by Chef Sarayuth Kaewyon.

Caesar Salad

Forget what you know about Caesar salads, because this these crepe rolls stuffed with crispy greens, called Herbal Crepe, are made from herb-infused dough such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, peppers and parsley, all of which pair well with the Caesar salad dressing. A sprinkle of parmesan, completes this new look for Caesar.

Cobb Salad

One of the longest standing salads, the traditional Cobb, is not commonly found here in Chiang Mai due to the many processes and techniques required in compiling its many components. The blue cheese, imported avocado from Australia, sliced bacon, smoked chicken breast, mustard vinaigrette, sliced onions and garlic, and seasoning all come together in a delicious savoury bite.

Crab and Avocado Salad

A European style salad featuring layers of the delicious crab and avocado, in a way that really shows them both off. The avocado is diced, and the crab meat clearly firm and plentiful. Microgreens top the pile (hydroponic shoots), an organic egg and some caviar completes the look. The salad dressing is honey sesame, the restaurant’s signature.

Mix Green Salad

This super healthy dish uses organic vegetables sourced from the Royal Project which includes four different tomatoes all mixed into a honey sesame dressing, perfect for those who want to stay healthy. Juicy prawns top off this treat.

Spicy Eggplant Salad

Both the Thai eggplant and the European pepper are grilled on a hot flame until the skin is charred. They are then put in cold water before being peeled, this process drawing out the natural sweetness of both vegetables. A traditional spicy Thai sauce then covers the eggplant and pepper and a sliced boiled egg and dried shrimp powder put and sprinkled on top.
