• Care for Dogs

Nabooki came to Care for Dogs with her brother (since adopted). They had both been horribly abused and were on death’s door from starvation. She quickly gained weight however, so much so we thought she was pregnant for a while! She’s not too old, a year or two maybe, and keeps to herself. She’s fine with other dogs, warms up to people and would need a bit of TLC. That’s pretty much what we know about her. Want to find out more for yourself? Contact Care for Dogs, English (084 752 5255) Thai (086 913 8701) or contact@carefordogs.org to make an appointment to visit the shelter & meet her or any of the many other dogs waiting for you. www.carefordogs.org

• Help Ban Street Begging Elephants in Chiang Mai

A city is the last place where you aould expect to find an elephant.
Their existence is often heartbreaking. They spend their days begging for food or money, urged on by their mahouts, the elephant caretakers. The animals are often in a bad state of health. Stressed, undernourished and with wounded feet. Most people would agree that elephants do not belong in cities.

Elephants in Chiang Mai city are illegal according to Thai law. And yet, the last couple of months more and more baby elephants are walking around Chiang Mai city every night.

Sign this petition to demand for action to get elephants out of Chiang Mai city! Be part of a network of people that care about the plight of street begging elephants in Chiang Mai. Together we can make Chiang Mai city elephant free! At www.thepetitionsite.com/1/street-begging-elephants
We will deliver the signatures to the governor. You can follow the campaign at:
