01 • Bike Hash

A special one-off mountain bike hash weekend is planned for the long weekend of February 18/19/20 organised in conjunction with the Bangkok bike hash club. Two rides will be planned, along with the popular after-ride beer social at Doi Kham resort. This popular, fun, activity follows the popular method of following a paper/powder marked trail, similar to the running hash. Saturday’s ride will be 30kms down Doi Pui mountain, ending at Huay Tung Tao (muster at the zoo 1pm), Sunday’s ride is more family friendly, a 25km cross-country ride starting and ending at Royal Flora (Elephant circle, muster 8:30am). Transport, food, beverages/beer provided. Price 300 & 250 baht, under 12s free.

Introducing Erin. This sweet young lady is 2 years old and is very friendly and calm. She gets along well with everyone – people and dogs. She has a lovely silky black coat and is medium-sized. 06 • Plea for Books

Citylife has some fans at Bangkwang Prison (AKA Bangkok Hilton) as we send them monthly copies of the magazine. They have asked our readers who have used books – anything from non fiction to pulp – to please donate them by dropping them off at Citylife office. We send 10 books per weeks to our inmate friends. 08 • PRIZES FOR A RAFFLE. “CARNIVAL FOR A CAUSE”

Hope and a Future Learning Center will be opening in May 2011 for the new Thai school year. In order to open the school, Hope and a Future Learning Center will be having a carnival February 5 from 4:00- 8:00 to help raise funds A raffle will be held at 7:30pm. If you would like to make a donation for the raffle prize, it would be greatly appreciated. All proceeds from the raffle and carnival will go towards developing the school facilities, hiring teachers, and getting the school ready for May.
