02 Dog of the month

Introducing Erin. This sweet young lady is 2 years old and is very friendly and calm. She gets along well with everyone _ people and dogs. She has a lovely silky black coat and is medium-sized. Just look at that beautiful face!

03 Intern Coordinator

The legally registered and much respected Foundation to Encourage the Potential of Disabled Persons (www.assistdisabled.org) has been operating in Chiang Mai for the past 20 years. The current Founder and Coordinator hopes to retire and is seeking his replacement. The Foundation is responsible for a number of projects including the Freedom Wheelchair Workshop which produces and distributes free mobility aids; the Chiang Mai Disabled Center which publishes and disseminates information on disability; the Baan Piranan Home Care (for spastic children with cerebral palsy); and an active home visit therapy and hygiene program for area disabled persons who remain unable to help themselves. Currently there is a Thai staff of 10 persons not including the Coordinator, or volunteers. This is a fulltime fundraising and management position. has some fans at Bangkwang Prison (AKA Bangkok Hilton) as we send them monthly copies of the magazine. They have asked our readers who have used books – anything from non fiction to pulp – to please donate them by dropping them off at the Citylife
