+ BASKETBALL

The CMBL – Chiang Mai Basketball League provides a year round programme of clinics, events and tournaments for students and adults, male and female, Thai and foreign basketball lovers. The first 3 on 3 Street Ball Tournament was held on April 23rd 2011 and attracted 12 teams and was a great social occasion. All are welcome, including visiting players looking for a game. See: www.chiang-mai-basketball-league.com for details.

+ FOOTBALL

The Farangutans came back from their Asian tournament in Bangkok bruised, cramped, battered and hungover. The second day saw five of their players on the sidelines and despite a great win early in the day, they could only finish runners-up in the Bowl competition.

+ CHIANG MAI FC

Chiang Mai FC have been fighting to get out of the relegation spots this season. And since the early departure of their manager CMFC have gone from bad to worse. They lost to BBCU FC 0-1 at home and also lost to the team at the very bottom of the league ‘RBac FC’ 0-1. They did, thankfully, win their first away game 1-0 against Rangsit J.W. FC, but then found their losing form again going down 0-1 to Bangkok United. They might just need your support, so turn up for a great day out at 700 Year Stadium.
