CityNews – An AirAsia flight from Chiang Mai heading to Bangkok was delayed after bomb squads were called after a bag was discovered vibrating, only to discover a private stimulation device was the real culprit.
The flight, scheduled to depart at 8am on September 28. Airline officials discovered one of the bag scheduled to be put on the plane was vibrating suspiciously, so the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) were immediately called for security reasons. After the bomb squad opened the bag, they discovered that the vibrating device was in fact a private personal stimulation device.
The device was turned off and put back in the bag which then was loaded onto the plane as usual. The flight was delayed by no more than 10 minutes.
The bag owner has not been named.
