CityNews – Between July 2 and July 3, there were many reports of several pickpockets working around Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. After extensive investigation, police this week arrested one Vietnamese man and a Cambodian Man in connection to the thefts.
Three separate tourists provided information to the pickpocket at the temple, which helped in leading the investigation.
Police arrested 52-year-old Trin Ti Tu from Vietnam and 45-year-old Heng Juntra from Cambodia in Chaiyaphum province after a coordinated arrest warrant was carried out.
One pickpocket is still thought to be on the run from police.
