CityNews – On 28th June 2016, Wiangping Emergency Medical Service, Chiang Mai reported that three victims were found unconciouse at the bottom of a well.
According to the owner of the property, a commercial flower garden was being set up and a deep well of 15 metres in depth was being dug. One man was tasked with digging the well and when he wasn’t seen for two days the owner was concerned and went to the well where an unconscious body was found. Immediately two workers descended the well to help, but also became unconscious.
When rescue workers arrived, they immediately pumped oxygen down the well and descended to recover the three victims.
The three men were rushed to hospital but two were announced dead. The third victim is past the danger period and is expected to recover fully. It is unknown why they all passed out.
