CityNews – On the night of January 31, police arrested two drivers at a checkpoint on the Hod – Doi Tao road in Hod province for transporting illegal migrant workers.
29-year-old Charan Riangraiwilatkeeree and 41-year-old Tuke Kulabkeeree were arrested after police found their truck to be transporting nine illegal stowaways, ages between 22 and 49 and all from Burma.
The two men told police they were offered 4,000 baht per worker to move them to Bangkok.
The two drivers and the illegal migrant workers will be prosecuted.
