CityNews – One drug mule was killed after a gunfight between police and a Lahu drug gang in the Mae Taeng district, on January 11.
Police were informed by a tip-off that eight mules would be transporting 600,000 yaba pills in the Mae Taeng district.
After the sting operation began, police were able to arrest three of the drug mules, aged 31, 52 and 60. However, the other four managed to escape during a gun fight, leaving one dead.
The gang also allegedly threw bombs at police, but they failed to explode.
