CityNews – On September 29, 46-year-old Ms Pattana Kruengkam from Lamphun province was arrested for theft after over 10 victims reported having items stolen by her after she befriended them at a hospital.
After the arrest, police seized around 100 stolen items including Buddha amulets, coins, and a gold necklace.
The latest victim to report the woman was 72-year-old Sompot Kongkaewpaitoon from Mae Hong Son. He told the police that when he visited the hospital recently, a woman tried to make friends with him, and invited him for sex in a hotel. He agreed and they decided on a 1,000 baht fee in exchange for sex.
While in the room, she asked the man to take a shower before having sex. When he finished showering, she was gone, along with his gold necklace and Buddha amulet.
After police reviewed CCTV at the hospital, they were able to identify the woman as Pattana Kruengkam by arresting her at the hospital itself while she was trying to deceive another victim.
According to reports, Pattana has been committing this crime since July. The police believe at least another 20 victims will come to the police station to report her.
