The meeting assured press and visitors to the conference that the rumours regarding increased fighting on the boarders between the two countries were untrue.

Other issues that affect both countries were also brought up, such as the dredging of drains along the border and the set-up of military camps along the border by both countries.

Burma claimed that Thailand had 29 military camps set up along the border, while Thailand claimed that Burma had seven camps of ethnic armies along the border. The meeting concluded that both countries withdraw their troops from the border to maintain peace.

Other topics were raised, such as the fate of several Burmese citizens arrested by Thai authorities for illegally smuggling narcotics into the country, and how both countries could form a better cooperation in encouraging citizens to cross the borders with passports and legal documentation, to further prevent illegal movement of people across borders and human trafficking.
