Shoplifting Teenagers Arrested

CityNews – Two teenagers were arrested on November 14 after a Big C department store reported many items had been stolen by a pair of teenagers after hours.

On November 11, staff at the Big C, Mae Hia Branch, reported that many items appeared to have been stolen.

After reviewing CCTV footage, police were able to identify two teenagers, one male and one female, who hid in the store until it was closed and then stole a large amount of items.

After investigations, police suspected two teenagers who were living alone in a house on the Chiang Mai – Hang Dong road. After the house was raided, the two teenagers were arrested.

A notebook with accessories, a mobile phone charger, a power bank, a backpack, a handbag and other items were also seized as evidence.

The girl, aged 15 and from Udon Thani, admitted to police that her and her boyfriend, aged 14 and from Chonburi, stole the good from the department store.

Police provided no information about how the two young teenagers ended up living together unsupervised.

They await prosecution.
