CityNews – Chuang Chuang and Lin Hui, Chiang Mai Zoo’s famous panda parents, now childless since their baby girl Lin Ping was sent back to China last year, are being treated like royalty in the hopes that they breed again. A fake ice rink was set up with ice blocks covered in the coveted bamboo leaves and favourite fruits for frolicking (and hopefully frisky) fun prior to Lin Hui’s upcoming ultrasound.
“This activity helps reduce heat-related stress for both the pandas and all their fans,” said the director of the Chiang Mai Zoo, Nipon Wichairatra.
