CityNews – On the morning of June 8th, Mae Rim police were informed that a child had been found left at the doorstep of a local residence. The infant was estimated to be about seven days old, and was wrapped in a green towel from Sansai Hospital.
The police went immediately to the hospital to track down the mother of the abandoned child, and soon after arrested the 27-year-old mother from Burma.
The woman admitted to abandoning the child, and confessed that she could not afford to support and raise the child on her own.
She will be prosecuted for child abandonment.
