CityNews – September 22nd, Chiang Rai police were informed by Kittipan Kamsom, 40, of Phan’s Than Thong sub-district, that his mother, Kaew, 79, was found dead from head injuries and was found with bruises around her neck in their house.

He told the police that no one witnessed what happened as no one was home. On the day in question, he was working in the field.

The body was taken to hospital for an autopsy.

After questioning everyone involved, the police suspected Kaew’s oldest son, Adisak, 54, who finally confessed to the police that he killed his mother.

Adisak told the police he recently moved to live with his mother after he and his wife, living in other district, broke up. As he was eating in the kitchen, his mother complained to him. He felt great rage and pushed her head into the floor.

He awaits prosecution.
