Man Threatens Pregnant Woman with Air Gun in Road Rage Incident

CityNews – A man pulled out an air gun and threatened a pregnant woman in the middle of the street.

The incident occurred on the evening of April 2nd. The victim was passing by Chiang Mai Rajabhat University when a bronze sedan approached closely from behind and honked at her several times. When they were crossing the intersection, the suspect who was then undertaking on the victim’s left hand side, pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim before speeding forwards.

The suspect Tanarat Joeytaisong, 31, was arrested on the following day at his home. He confessed that he was upset as he was in a hurry to go to the bank. He explained that when they were passing the intersection, he was mad that he could not turn right as the other driver was blocking his way so he pulled out his air gun in a temper. He stated that he did not know that the victim was a pregnant woman driving alone. Police did not fine Tanarat but the incident has been recorded on his criminal record.
