Maejo University Launched Service Innovation Design Boot Camp

CityNews – Maejo University held a Service Innovation Design Boot Camp to elevate local creativity and design through an integrated service innovation ecosystem.

Service Innovation Design Boot Camp has kicked off today at Khum Kham International Convention Centre. The camp, held by Maejo University, offers short term courses between 3rd-7th and 10th-14th September concentrating on enhancing local innovators. Through the design thinking, participants are expected to initiate a service innovation prototype based on cultural heritage. The integrated service innovation ecosystem is forecasted to elevate the value of the destination.

This intensive training is aimed at two target groups; local innovators and lead innovators. The local innovators are those who are community leaders, activists, innovative farmers, while the lead innovators are intellectual persons including academics, researchers, local philosopher and experts. The lineup of guest speakers are from a range of backgrounds such as Google Developer Group Thailand, Beneat, and renowned designers. Outside the numerous lectures, activities also include a workshop at the award wining venue for architecture, X2 Chiangmai Riverside Resort where participants will also be savouring an exquisite cuisine prepared by the Michelin star chef at Oxygen Restaurant, as well as a visit to the Ginger Farm.

Service Innovation Design Boot Camp is supported by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI).
