CityNews – A lottery vendor was found murdered at a longan farm in Chomthong District.

On May 2nd, the Facebook user name ‘จ๋อมตอง ฮักคุณ’ posted a plea to help find a missing woman. 43-year-old Thanawan Perpansuk was missing after she left home in the early morning to go to work, according to neighbours.

Later the same day at 7pm, police found her body at a longan farm in Chomthong, 50 metres from a main road. She had been strangled and police estimated her time of death at around 4 hours prior to the discovery of her body. All her belongings were stolen.
The police say that they suspect that this was a crime of opportunity and speculate that she was pulled off the road, her earnings and jewellery stolen and then murdered. Police are investigating the crime.
