CityNews – August 21, several accidents had occurred at a U-turn on Chiang Mai – Fang road in Ban Mae Sa Noi of Mae Rim’s Mae sa sub-district, Chiang Mai, causing concerns to locals, who called on authorities involved to come up with a solution.
The U-turn is near Makro department store, Mae Rim branch.
Recently, Chiang Mai Highway District 2, Bureau of Highway 1 (Chiang Mai) tried closing the U-turn by using around 20 water tanks to block the way. This is believed to help reduce and prevent accidents because it eliminates the possibility for motorists to maneuvre in a way that was causing the accidents.
