CityNews – Along with Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-Ocha’s declaration of Thailand’s mission against corruption, Chiang Mai Governor Suriya Prasatbandit together with local authorities, military and police announced their agreement and full backing of eradicating corruption from the country on June 8th.
The Prime Minister’s speech was broadcast to every province of Thailand. Chiang Mai representatives attended the broadcast at the Chiang Mai Government Centre.
Governor Suriya led attendees in a vow to be honest, respectful and fair as well and to not abuse power or take advantage of Thai citizens.
Together they also vowed to follow H.M. the King’s theory of sufficiency economy.
