Gold Robber Stabs Three Before Escaping

CityNews – A Tai Yai man stabbed three citizens who tried to stop him escaping with a bracelet from a gold shop in Warorot Market, and is still yet to be arrested.

Around 1pm on April 6, police were called to a robbery in Warorot Market. When police arrived at SMK jewellery shop they found three people with stab wounds, 24-year-old Jakkrit Khamyard, his mother Paijit Khamyard, 64, and a 70-year-old woman.

The owner of the shop told police the man wanted to see a gold bracelet weighing 30.32 grams, valued at 52,000 baht. When he tried it on, he decided to buy it and started to take out his wallet before he ran away.

The store owner shouted and asked people to help. Jakkrit and his mother tried to catch the man but were stabbed in the stomach and the arm. The 70-year-old woman was stabbed as she was in his way when he tried to escape.

Police have tracked the man by CCTV and identified his as 39-year-old Lu Saokhum, from Wiang Heang. However, police have yet to find the man. They are tracking him now.
