Garlic Warehouse Burnt Down By Illegal Brush Fire
CityNews – A garlic warehouse was burnt down on April 10 after a neighbour began illegally burning the brush next to the warehouse.
Over 600kg of garlic was roasted in the fire, which destroyed part of the warehouse too.
Locals rushed to the scene when they saw smoke from a fire that was more than expected during a brush burn. People began throwing water on the fire to prevent it from burning other homes in the area.
Fire crews were called and put the fire out after an hour.
Police are reviewing the cause of the fire and those responsible.
