CityNews – Police arrested a British man at Suvanaphumi Airport after he was was traced following the robbery of cash and gold jewelry worth over 100,000 baht.
44-year-old Stephen Antonio was arrested in connection to a robbery at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
After checking CCTV, Antonio was clearly seen stealing a bag from a female trader at the temple as she visited the restroom. The bag contained gold and cash in excess of 100,000 baht.
Police traced the man to the airport where he was arrested before he boarded a flight out of the country.
