CityNews — On August 12th, Director General of the Department of Land Transport issued a statement restricting the use of adhesive foam accessories to motorists’ vehicles.
The statement comes as a response to the increase in popularity of a foam accessory resembling a clockwork key (the EVA Foam Clockwork Key) seen adhered to many vehicles. The Department of Land Transport stated that this precaution is being taken due to the accessories’ tendency to fall from vehicles onto the street creating a potential harm to motorists.
The department advises all commuters to not decorate their vehicles in a manner that could be a danger to other motorists. According to the Land Traffic Act B.E. 2522, the owner of any motor vehicle that is decorated inappropriately can face a fine of 2,000 baht.
