The new electric busses will replace the old ones which have been working for over four years. The old fleet was made up of 45 electric busses.

The new busses have longer battery life and are of better quality. They also have a maximum speed of 40 kmh, which is faster than the old fleet. They will also have a manual gearbox, giving the drivers more control in steep areas around the university.

All drivers have been well trained and have no history of drug use. CCTV cameras and GPS systems will also be installed in the vehicle.

The old busses have been donated to a number of organisations, as they are still considered useable.
