CityNews – A gunfight at Suandok Villa in Chiang Rai left one person dead after a drugs bust went wrong on March 22.
Police arranged to buy drugs from 44-year-old Lortu Yalgoo in a sting operation. When the police made themselves apparent, the dealer pulled out a gun and shot at police while trying to escape in his pickup truck.
The police fired back, hitting the man and causing him to crash into a ditch.
He died from the gunshot, and police found a bag of 56,000 yaba pills and a handgun in his car.
