CityNews – Sarapee police were alerted to a bomb in the forest of Tha Wang Tan sub-district yesterday afternoon.
Local residents informed police after discovereing what they thought to be a bomb hidden in the forest near their village.
Police and explosive ordnance disposal officers attended the scene and confirmed that the bomb was a M67 bomb and still live.
Officers diffused the bomb and told the press that they believe it belonged to some local teenagers who were afraid of being caught in possession of a dangerous weapon.
