CityNews – December 13th, 11 million baht in cash was found in a van with a Burmese license plate by Mae Sai police, officials from Maesai Customs House, and military at a checkpoint in Chiang Rai.
A Burmese woman, who claimed she is the owner of the van, told the officials that she had brought the money to buy construction materials.
She was headed back to Burma when her van was examined by the officials at the checkpoint.
The officials are now examining to find the source of the money to see if it is legal or not.
