CityNews – The Facebook page Ku Pai Srivijai, which is a page dedicated to public announcements, has posted that on the 4th March around 9.20am in Lamphun, there was an incident where a car was involved in a small accident. The car demanded 50,000 baht in cash, finally settling for 30,000 from the other vehicle. A similar incident happened the next day, also in Lamphun’s Li District.
Following the social media posting, an image of the vehicle in question, a dark blue Mercedes Benze, was posted and numerous commenters have now said that they have seen this car driving around aimlessly in the district. Some posters said that they too had an altercation and were forced to pay money. The police are following up on leads.
