Two Dead, Six Injured in Ambulance Crash

This morning, November 1st, an ambulance was delivering patients to Om Koi Hospital when it crashed on Hot-Mae Sarian Road, in Bo Luang, Hot District. The ambulance was reportedly moving at high speed and lost control. Two people were killed in the accident. The father of the five month old patient died at the scene, and a medic passed away at Om Koi Hospital.

Six people including four adults, a three year old and the five month old patient were injured.

Later today, Chiang Mai Public Health Office released a statement confirming that the ambulance vehicle was in good shape and underwent a full check in May this year. The GPS has shown that the driver was driving within the speed limit, according to the statement. The office also expresses their regrets to the families of the deceased.
