New food festival opens on Koh Samui this week
CityNews — Surat Thani Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports introduces food festival on Koh Samui.
The food festival is held in conjunction with the Samui Festival 2018 between September 25th and October 1st featuring over a hundred food vendors. “This event has gathered delicacies from across 14 provinces in Southern Thailand,” said the Samui District Chief. Kampong, a roti vendor, expressed their enthusiasm for the event while explaining their highlighted Cha Chuk tea. “When the tea is poured from high above, it works like when we shake the tea giving it a delicate blend between milk and tea and creating a smooth, mellow texture,” said one of Kampong’s owners who proudly presented that they used imported condensed milk produced specifically for iced milk tea.
