At Ban Pho Thong Charoen in Choeng Doi, Doi Saket District, a one year old girl was attacked by a group of stray dogs on the street in front of her house. The incident occurred on November 3rd. She was rescued by two pig farm employees who were on their way to work. They stated that at first they thought dogs were playing with a doll. The girl was found covered in blood and rushed to the hospital.

Sangpetch Suwanmanee, 44, the father, stated that his daughter suffered 117 wounds all over her body.  Although her condition has been upgraded to stable, she remains hospitalised.

Neighbours claim that stray dogs have been a problem in the area for years, with over one hundred stay dogs believed to roam the area. The dogs have been known chase cars and motorcycles, and to eat the new born piglets at the local pig farm and the chickens of local residents. Residents have filed multiple complaints but have never received any response.

Due to this incident, Doi Saket local authorities will be discussing the issue at a meeting today.
