CityNews – The death of a Chinese exchange student is not a homicide case.

Following the discovery of a gravely injured Chinese exchange student, Fang Zhenhau at a dormitory on Suthep Road on May 11th, police have been investigating the scene and CCTV cameras but did not find the evidence that led to a homicide case as suspected. The 19 year old student reportedly fell from the building and was found by a security guard. He later passed away at the hospital. His body had few scratches on both arms.

CCTV camera reveals that the moment he entered the building, he greeted a friend before heading to his room alone, and to access the dorm requires key card. Statements from his friends indicate that he was a loner and had been missing classes lately. He reportedly showed signs of depression. Police have ruled out the possibility of murder as preliminarily suspected. The body has been sent for autopsy and the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China has been notified.
