AOT Ready for Loy Krathong

CityNews – 9th November 2016. The Airport of Thailand (AOT) has announced that they are ready for yee peng, but ask residents and tourist to please be aware of and follow the rules for safety.

Director of AOT Chiang Mai, announced that between the 13th-15th November there will be 15 flights cancelled (nine domestic and six international) as well as a further 36 flights which have moved their schedules. All cancellations and rescheduling have been thoroughly adjusted so that the service will not be affected for any passengers. He also said that the AOT has decorated the airport to welcome tourists to the festival. There will also be regular safety checks by authorities in the airport itself as well as the car park area and anyone dropping off or picking up passengers are asked not to linger at the drop off/pick up area.
