CityNews – A former Chiang Mai University star is crowned Miss Chiang Mai 2019.
The annual Chiang Mai beauty pageant took place at the Winter Fair on January 5th. This year 24 year old Naruemon ‘Plaifah’ Sittiwang was crowned Miss Chiang Mai 2019, winning the title aginst 20 other candidates. She also won an award from the media as the most beloved person and from Love Princess House. During her studies for a bachelor degree at the Business Administration Faculty, Chiang Mai University, she was honoured as an Ambassador of the Faculty, while also being selected to the Junior Market Association of Thailand programme. Plaifah has also been crowned Miss Songkran.
During an interview with Channel 3 news, Plaifah stated that she is hornoured to be crowned Miss Chiang Mai and that she will continued to do her best to reach the Miss Universe stage.
Miss Chiang Mai is a beauty pageant that has been running for 86 years. The crown is inspired from a peacock at the Royal Pavilion, Royal Park Rajapruek.
