Chiang Mai Photographic Group’s 11th Annual Exhibition
January 26 - February 10
The Chiang Mai Photographic Group have announced that their 11th annual exhibition will be held at Central Airport Plaza from January 26th through February 10th. This year’s exhibition will feature a diversified collection of over 100 framed, large format color, as well as black and white photographic images. Taken by 25 member photographers from around the world who are based in Chiang Mai, this display will show their exceptional creative eye for every artistic taste.
Hundreds of images have been group juried to arrive at this year’s final selections, with each photograph demonstrating the importance of standing on its own, giving viewers time to contemplate the place, feel and story the image tells. Member photographers’ expertise ranges from amateur and intermediate, to working professional photographers, and their equipment follows suit – from basic point-and-shoot cameras, to full frame digital SLRs and mirrorless, and even the latest in smart phone camera technology. However, the focus is always about putting the photographer’s vision and creativity first, not the equipment used in creating their work. Previous years’ events have met with much critical acclaim, and this year’s exhibition should be no exception, featuring fine portraiture, landscape and architectural, close up macro, wildlife, ‘in the moment’ street photography, and more.
