This month we hit the streets with Max Thammaraks, newly appointed Thai Ambassador by the World Food and Travel Association.

Max’s favourite street food destination has been a locally kept secret for over 30 years and is so popular with the local community that they pretty much run out of food sometime soon after noon.

Khao man gai (or Hainanese chicken rice) has become a beloved Thai dish which is in fact a Chinese import and this restaurant serves it with a classical Hainanese family recipe.

Tender and tasty chicken thigh and hip meat is used and the rice is cooked in an old fashioned pot on charcoal. The sauce is particularly tasty, swears Max. So if you love the delicious khao man gai, then what better place to go than where regulars have been going for decades.
