Lovers seeking a romantic experience can’t go wrong with the RatiLanna Evening Romance Set. Step aboard the resort’s boat just as the sun slinks her way down the horizon. The boat itself is exquisitely designed with comfortable seating and plenty of cushions, perfect for lovers to lean back and snuggle up as they take in the sunset views of the Ping River and mountains beyond.
As twilight sheds a soft light on the scenery, and after drinks are served, lovers can listen to the gentle sounds of classical piano as they watch Chiang Mai go by. The boat gently docks back at the resort under the night stars where a romantic table is set under a canopy of beautiful white roses, rose petals arranged into a heart shape around the table. Clink glasses as the first dish arrives, a grilled smoked duck breast with citrus salad and kaffir lime dressing, with pomelo being the fruit hero, all marinated in a French dressing created by the resort’s head chef. Next comes a Mediteranean style mixed seafood soup with white wine saffron broth which wafts with the rich aromas of white wine and saffron.
The lovers are then served a salmon teriyaki steak which arrives with gently-scented garlic rice wrapped in seaweed. The salmon is fresh and tender and the teriyaki sauce generously slathered into rich flavours.
End the meal on a sweet note with the mango cheese mousse served with mango salsa served with fresh brewed coffee or assorted tea and simply sit back and gaze at the stars, the meandering Ping River, or into each other’s eyes.
