Opening of Island Exhibition by HYM Project at Chiang Mai University Art Center. The exhibition consists of work by Anurak Tunyapalit, Anusorn Tanyapalit, Kitchapon Ketchu, Radchanee Pada, Rattanakan Kanchanaphanbun, Thot Kanthiya and Woraporn Pongsamart. “It seems strange to imagine that an unknown island, which geographically refers to a piece of land surrounded by water, somehow appears in the middle of Chiang Mai — an inland city surrounded by mountains. In such a context, the idea of “Islandness”, which seems almost far-fetched and bizarre when applied to the valley of this city, will be reinterpreted, reread, and then expressed in the form of unique artworks”. The exhibition is on display until 29 July 2018
