Local media were invited to a press conference to announce the 3rd International Day of Yoga will take place at Thapae Gate on 25 June 2017 between 8am and 11am. The Consulate of India in Chiang Mai, in association with the Indian Community of Chiang Mai, is hosting this event. All are cordially invited and there will be free Yoga Day T-shirts for the first 300 participant to register. Breakfast, refreshments and water will be provided to everyone.
There will be live demonstrations and shows by Yoga masters and their teams. These will include interactive session where all the members of the audience will have an opportunity to learn and practice many of the basic Yoga postures and techniques, ranging from the beginner and intermediate to the advanced level. No prior knowledge or understanding of Yoga is required before coming to this event; therefore absolute beginners are most welcome. There will also be musical performances and a Yoga quiz aimed at the youth. Breakfast will consist of both Thai and Indian delicacies.
Registration for this event is 8am at Thapae Gate. However members of the local ‘Sunday Cycling Group’ will be flagged off from the Consulate of India at 7.30am and anyone wishing to cycle to the event should be at the consulate by 7am (with their own bicycles).
