On April 8th, Chiang Mai governor Pawin Chamniprasert presided over the 25 years anniversary of the The Botanical Garden Organisation along with Chairman of the organisation, Pajchima Tanasanti. The event was at the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, Mae Rim.

Opening of Hidden Village
Soft Opening of Hidden Village, a 25 Rai Theme Park full of amazing creatures. Lizards,giant bugs and reptiles, beautiful butterflies, miniature statues of hill tribe long necked ladies, and don’t miss the Dinosaur Village with robotic life size animals from the Mesozoic Era. There is also a real sheep farm, and playground for the kids. The Barn Steak House offering delicious meals at lunch and dinner.
Entrance to the theme park is 100thb adult, Thai or Expat living in Chiang Mai (with proof such as driving licence) 200thb for Tourists. Kids under 140cm FREE.
Opening of Art Thesis Exhibition at Chiang Mai University Art Centre – this is an exhibition by last year student bachelor degree of visual art program, Faculty of Arts and Architecture, Rajamangaka University of Technology. The exhibition is on display until 12 April 2017

Kids Free Trip to Phuket
Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways sponsored fifty children on a three day trip to Phuket. Children 13-16 year olds, were nominated by their teachers from 5 schools; 2 Chiang Mai, 2 Lamphun and 1 Lampang.
Fai, 15 year old told Citylife it is her first time on an airplane and she is very excited. Doy, 16 year old wants to meet new friends in Southern Thailand and wants to swim in the sea. Pai, 16 year old said he wants to explore Phuket Town and see how they cope with mass tourism and how to preserve the environment

From 13 – 15 April, Bangkok Airways invites everyone to enjoy a traditional Songkran at Lokmolee Temple (north side of the moat) 6pm – 9pm EVENINGS– No Guns, polite sprinkling, traditional fun. There will be “Kad Mua” or traditional lanna foods available as well. All the cash made from Kad Mua will go to the temple This is possibly the only place where people can enjoy the TRADITIONAL SONGKRAN!
