CityNews – On the night of September 21st, police arrested 33-year-old Somsuk Boonchangpuak in Doi Saket area for theft.
The police also seized a gold necklace, four knives, and a motorcycle. In the morning, the police were informed of a theft by the victim, Arunee Khantajit, who had a gold necklace and 1,200 baht in cash stolen by the thief who escaped on motorcycle.
After studying CCTV footages, the police were able to identify the suspects as Somsuk and Uthai Sirisawai, who is still on the run.
Somsuk also has a recently pending arrest warrant by the Chiang Mai Provincial Court for rape and theft.
On September 18th, Somsuk and Uthai both raped a victim and snatched her belongings. Police say that they had also committed the same crime in many other areas in Chiang Mai.
The investigations are ongoing and the police are tracing Uthai.
