CityNews – Tourist Police at Chiang Mai International Airport helped find a Chinese tourist’s lost iPhone by using GPS – racing to the location, finding the phone and returning before she missed her flight.

On May 30, 31-year-old Chinese national Fang Danehun contacted the airport’s Tourist Police after she realised she had left her phone in the backseat of a service taxi.

After not being able to identify which taxi the phone was in, police used the ‘Find my iPhone’ app to track the phone down via GPS.

They followed the signal and stopped a taxi in the Pa Daet area.

When police asked about the phone the diver didn’t know anything about it, but after looking in the back seat he discovered the phone.

Police were able to rush the Chinese tourist back to the airport in time for her flight.
