CityNews – The Thailand Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with 16 organisations, announced that the “Top Thai Brands” fair, a fair to showcase 400 internationally recognized Thai branded products to the public, will be held at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre from August 26th to August 30th.
The Ministry of Commerce expects that the event will attract around 50,000 visitors, shoppers, entrepreneurs from all over Thailand and abroad and international exporters. They estimate that the event could bring in around 200 million baht.
“The main purpose of “Top Thai Brands” is first to promote and showcase internationally recognised Thai branded products and services to the public, as well as oversea business visitors in order to create and induce brand awareness amongst consumers, traders and businessmen from both domestic and international markets,” explained Gen. Chatchai Sarikulya, Minister of Commerce.
Showcased brands will include food, beverage, fashion, lifestyle, gems and jewellery, electronics, furniture, sporting goods, quality products from SMEs, OTOP and selected products from Thai farm outlets.
The fair will also include many events such as an exhibition in honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s royally initiated rice and silk projects, a business clinic, intellectual property registration, seminars, DIY presentations, fashion shows, concerts, and a drawing for a chance to win prizes worth over 100,000 baht.
