Summer Storms Damage Sanpatong

CityNews – On 4th May, a strong summer storm wreaked havoc in Sanpatong, Chiang Mai, causing damage for many homes and businesses.

Billboards and tree branches have been reported to have fallen on many properties an authorities were3 called upon to cut branches and help out some people. No serious damage was reported and there were no injuries. There was also report of hail and torrential rain in parts of the city.
The North Thai Meteorological Department is warning us that that there is low pressure above of Thailand and winds from China are blowing over the north. There will be more rain and strong gusts of wind coming to the North, especially Chiang Rai, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun. And people need to watch out and keep away from large trees, billboards and unstable buildings.
