CityNews – February 6th, a pickup truck fell off a 20 metre cliff on the Mae Malai – Pai Road in Mae Taeng district.
Seven people (three males and four females), originally from Myanmar, received minor injuries and were sent to Mae Taeng hospital.
Other two people, also from Myanmar, were found stuck in the pickup truck. Rescue officers took around four hours to retrieve them from the vehicle. They both were found with minor injuries too.
According to the driver, Saimoon (no surname), 40, they are his family and friends and were headed to Mae Hong Son province to join the Shan State National Day on February 7th. As the road is steep and he was not familiar with the route, his car accidentally swerved off the road and fell off the cliff.
