Shadow of the King’s Image Sculpture Unveiled at CMU

CityNews – A sculpture that shows the face of the king when the sun hits it at 3.52pm, has been unveiled at the faculty of architecture, Chiang Mai University.

The sculpture was attached to the wall of the main faculty building on January 23, and the image of the king made by shadows was shared on social media. The image soon went viral.

The sculpture uses shadows to cast an image of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at exactly 3.52pm. It was erected in memory of the late king, who passed away on October 13, 2016.
