Due to heavy rain that has continued since yesterday, several areas in Chiang Mai are experiencing floods. Today, Chang Klan faced 15 cm of water while about five households in Pa Daet had to evacuate when the Mae Kha canal overflowed today. Sri Ping Muang and Ra Kaeng communities have also faced similar incidents.

The water level of the Ping river has reportedly doubled since yesterday, now standing at nearly 2 metres, but is still below the critical level of 3.7 metres. The authorities announced that they have set a 24 hour flood watch, with teams on standby to aid citizens in the event of further flooding.
